Many people with a learning disability and/or autistic people live or want to live in their own home or in shared accommodation with some support.

Choices, our supported living and community outreach service, provides unique support for each person’s needs, so they can really enjoy living life the way they want to. We support people with a learning disability, autistic people and others with support needs to live in their own home, in one of the properties we manage and/or in the community through outreach services.

We provide flexible, quality, tailored support from a few hours a week to 24/7 personal care.

We work across Brighton & Hove and West Sussex, as well as other parts of Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey, Kent and beyond.

Choices is regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

What does Choices do?

Our Choices supported living service supports people with a learning disability, autistic people and others with a range of health and social care needs to live in their own home, in one of the properties we manage and/or in the community through outreach services.

We help people to budget, maintain a home, meet new friends, learn new skills and understand health and wellbeing. We support people to feel confident in the community and live more freely. We promote independence, choice and control and make sure that the people we support are at the centre of – and are involved in – everything to do with their lives.

Bespoke services for individual people

We specialise in creating bespoke, person-centred supported living services. Whether it’s a new referral or a spot purchase arrangement, we work in close partnership with commissioners, families and the person in need of support to design a living environment and support package that reflects individual goals and preferences.

What can we do for people?

For example…

  • We worked with three different families to set up a bespoke supported living service so that a group of friends could live and attend their local college together.
  • Working with different local authorities, we have enabled people to have 24/7 support in their own home.

And because Grace Eyre also offers a wide range of other services throughout South East England – including travel training, employability and social events – there are many ways for the people we support to learn, develop new skills and make friends.
