Winners
Here are this quarter’s winners of the Celebrate Greatness Award.
Welcoming

Chinyere Lucia Nwosu
I’m nominating Lucia for being a great support worker and fitting into our Western services so well. Lucia has been working hard getting to know people we support out in Western and brings with her some really great experience. She’s been building relationships with some complexities in some of the services very well and receiving great feedback from people we support, staff and managers. Thank you for working hard Lucia. We’re very lucky to have you on the WSX flexi team!
Joyful

Inger Sanders – Choices
Inger is a new starter still in her probation period, but she has already started to change the entire feel of the service. She is highly compassionate, motivated and forward thinking. Attached is a picture of an art session she did with Pauline, to make some decorations for an Easter party she is planning with residents and staff. She has been busy taking people we support to discos, and generally is just a breath of fresh air. I feel like we used to get much more people start with this kind of energy? Maybe I am imagining that. Anyway, Inger has been amazing, and I am very grateful for her positive and joyful impact on the team and the people we support. Great job Inger!!
Pioneering

Bill Bayley – Active Lives
Bill has been doing some incredible work with supporting people who attend Active Lives to display their hard work to the wider community. He has been submitting creative writing work from the people we support to be voted on by all staff, as well as printing and distributing the co-produced Grace Eyre news letter. He has also been documenting the results from our bowling trips and overall, going above and beyond to champion the amazing work that the people we support create in Active Lives.
Encouraging
Helen Kincaid – Choices
Due to staff sickness, Helen contacted me to do an emergency sleep in. She was kind and supportive from the beginning. I explained to her that it takes me a while to commute but she said I would have authorization from her to get a taxi which would be reimbursed. She called me to check how I was doing once I had arrived and gave me a lot of reassurance and expressed her gratitude. It’s the most appreciated that I have felt while working for Grace Eyre.
Celebratory
Ana Swan – Housing
Ana has been appealing a decision by the DWP who declined a tenants PIP award back in July 2023. Ana and the tenant attended the tribunal and the tenant was awarded 2 and half years back payments and awarded both parts of PIP. Ana has fought continuously and has put a lot of hard work into getting this amazing decision for the tenant. Well Done to Ana.
