As one of the UK’s oldest and most innovative charities, Grace Eyre has been supporting people with disabilities for over 125 years.
At the heart of our work is a simple ambition: to support people to live the lives they want, with greater choice, independence and opportunity.
With our long-time Chief Executive (CEO) recently making the decision to retire, we’re searching for an outstanding, values-led leader to build on our successes and lead us into our next chapter.
Our new CEO will lead a charity with a clear, ambitious vision – Life feels good – and turn our 2026–2029 strategy, From Foundations to Feelings, into a reality with lasting impact.
We are looking for a senior leader who has experience guiding complex, regulated and values-led organisations.
Our ideal candidate will have an understanding of the social care, learning disability, autism and housing landscape, be confident working with Boards and engaging senior stakeholders across commissioning, regulation, funding, policy and the wider sector.
They will have a strong track record of shaping strategy, leading through others and creating the conditions for people and organisations to perform, adapt and grow.
Our next CEO will be inclusive, collaborative and combine strategic ambition with warmth, humility and sound judgement.
If you share our belief in voice, choice, rights and inclusion and can bring the authenticity, curiosity and courage to lead an organisation with an important history and an ambitious future, we’d love to hear from you.
The closing date for applications is Sunday 29 November 2026.
