The Government has announced that local elections are back on for Thursday 7th May 2026.
Local elections will take place across our area, including:
- Adur District Council
- Crawley Borough Council
- East Sussex County Council
- West Sussex County Council
- Worthing Borough Council
The next local elections for Brighton & Hove City Council are due to take place next year.
Grace Eyre’s Our Voices team have done a lot of work around making voting more accessible.

How to Register to Vote
The UK Government has created a guide on how to register to vote.
You need to register to vote by Monday 20th April for the local and mayoral elections taking place on 7th May.
