Grace Eyre has a team of superheroes taking on the London to Brighton Cycle Ride this Sunday 10th September 2023 to raise money for Grace Eyre.
The 55-mile trip starts at Clapham Common in London and ends on Madeira Drive in Brighton.
Every pound raised will go towards providing projects and services that enrich and enhance the lives of adults with learning disabilities and autism in our local communities.
Jonathan Howgill
Charlie Gordon
Charlie started cycling in lockdown and has kept cycling ever since. This is his first London to Brighton and although it’s slightly shorter than an event he took part in in Cambridgeshire last year, Ditchling Beacon is looming at the end!
James Rich and Paul Barker
Grace Eyre managers Paul and James are taking part this year.
This is Paul’s first London to Brighton; he’s done a few longer cycles over the years usually involving a pub stop half way!
This is James’ third London to Brighton and he’s hoping for a nice Northerly breeze on the day!
Jania Marquez
Simon Carter
Simon is looking forward to the London to Brighton Cycle Ride this year. He has done it before, but a few years ago. He signed up through a friend, Annie, who works for Grace Eyre.
Charles Watts
This will be Charles’ first London to Brighton. He’s excited and can’t wait!

You can support our amazing cyclists by in two ways:
- Come and cheer them across the finish line
- Donate via their fundraising pages
Come and cheer them across the finish line
It would be wonderful if we can get lots of people from Grace Eyre down to cheer our cyclists over the line. They will have just cycled 55 miles – including the uphill monster that is Ditchling Beacon – so they deserve a hero’s welcome!
It is going to be great day with a fantastic atmosphere, and it would be brilliant to see lots of people there.
The finish line is on Madeira Drive on Brighton seafront. Super speedy riders will start arriving at about 9:00 am. Most of the riders are expected to arrive between 12:00 noon and 3:30 pm.
We will have a Grace Eyre stall in the dedicated charity area at the finish line so come and say hi!
Donate via their fundraising pages
Please consider supporting our cyclists with a donation. You can donate to each cyclist via the links above.
Every donation we receive helps people with learning disabilities to maximise their independence and lead the lives they choose.
