Your invitation to Grace Eyre’s ‘Big Build’ Exhibition at 36 Montefiore Road

We would like to invite you to take a look at Grace Eyre’s exciting plans to improve our church building on Montefiore Road.

Grace Eyre has been supporting people with learning disabilities in Brighton & Hove for over 100 years and has provided learning opportunities from our Montefiore Road building for over 40 of those years. The people we support told us about the areas of the building that they wanted us to improve and this is what they said:

• A modern and fully accessible building for all

• A new theatre to promote their art and performances alongside working with community groups

• A café to meet friends

• Some flats that they could live in.

Over the past two years we have been working with local Architects Deacon Richardson to design an exciting scheme that will both retain the beauty and integrity of the building, alongside creating a modern sustainable building for generations to come.

Our project will cost of £3.5million and will be financed through the charity’s capital alongside a major Big Build fundraising appeal. We would like to share our plans for the future project on:

Saturday 10th July from 10am to 3pm at 36 Montefiore Road, Hove BN3 6EP

This will be an opportunity for you to ask us any questions you may have about the future building. We will be operating a COVID save environment and will have a flow system to ensure we maintain social distancing and we will ask visitors to clean their hands and wear a mask when on site.

If you are not able to attend but would like more information about the scheme, we would be happy to forward you copies of the plans. Please send an email to Chris Bland at cbland@grace-eyre.org with The Big Build as the subject line.

We look forward to seeing you or forwarding you copies of the plans if you would prefer to look over them at home.

Chris Bland
Deputy CEO
