A new swimming session set up by Brighton and Hove Special Olympics in partnership with Freedom Leisure will start on Thursday 25th April. The session which will run on Thursday evenings between 6pm – 7pm at the King Alfred Centre in Hove will be led by a coach to support adults with learning disabilities who can swim but would like to improve and possibly compete in the future.
This fun, friendly session is one of many new activities planned to be launched this year for adults with learning disabilities.
‘We are so pleased to have swimming back as one of our regular sessions within our programme’ said Liz Bartlett, Sports for All Project Manager. ‘Swimming is a great all round exercise for health and fitness and we look forward to seeing how this can grow over the coming months’.
