Congratulations to Cafe Worker Toby and the Angel Cake Cafe crew on recently being awarded a 5 star rating – the top mark in the food hygiene rating system. Our cafe is at the heart of the charity here at Montefiore Road – it serves a range of drinks, snacks and sandwiches helping people to lead healthy lives and is a place where people can sit down, laugh, chat, rest and relax. Toby feels a ‘real sense of achievement’ and is also really pleased with how the recent introduction of reusable plastic drinking cups has gone down following an awareness campaign around single use plastic. ‘This has made an real impact – saving money and the environment.’ Onwards and upwards!
