During ‘Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week’ 2017 we were thrilled to see the BBC feature Harry Fairchild on their ‘Get Inspired’ website. He’s the world’s first ever person with Down’s Syndrome to officially qualify as a table tennis coach.
Harry took up the sport during one of Grace Eyre’s healthy lifestyle projects three years ago, Sports for All Sussex. Since then Brighton Table Tennis Club has become his second home! Harry coaches children and inspires others to coach too.

Founder of Brighton Table Tennis Club, Tim Holtam, pictured with Harry below, says ‘He’s just getting better and better, we like to think he could be the next world champion’.

Watch Harry’s story now to find out how table tennis has transformed his life and ‘Get Inspired’!

We organise a selection of sports here at Grace Eyre which are just part of the wide range of activities we offer to over 150 people with learning disabilities in Brighton & Hove.
