Would you like a fun and fulfilling role that will help make a difference to the lives of people with learning disabilities and autism?

We are currently looking for a female Support Worker to support a young female in her own home in Bracklesham Bay. We welcome applications from both experienced Support Workers and those new to the care sector.

The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity that has been working with people with learning disabilities since 1898, across Sussex. Our mission is to be led by people with learning disabilities in the delivery of high-quality housing, support, employment, and activities in their local communities.

The shifts will include weekday, weekend and evening/sleep in shifts.

Your role will be to support her with her day to day tasks both at home and in the community.

We support people with all aspects of their lives, such as daily living skills, medication, personal care and finances as well as accessing community activities.  You will need to have good communication skills and just enjoy spending time with people.

We are looking for people who are patient, compassionate, understanding and able to use their own initiative.

It is a rewarding and varied role and one that really makes a difference to the lives of the people we support. It helps them to live a fulfilled life and achieve their goals and dreams with a little help from people who care.

No experience is necessary. You probably already have the skills and attributes you need to make a great Support Worker, but you will receive full training.

No applicant for employment or employee will be treated less favourably than another on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, marriage & civil partnership or pregnancy & maternity, and we encourage applications from people with learning disabilities or identify with being on the autistic spectrum/neuro-diverse.
