Brief outline of the role
Grace Eyre is looking to recruit a Hospitality Worker to support the smooth running of the café in the Grace Eyre Head Office in Montefiore Road, Hove. The café is an important social space for the organization and you will be part of the wider Active Lives service. The Active Lives service delivers day activities, services and projects for people with learning disabilities and/ or autism.
This is a fun and enjoyable role which would suit a social and outgoing person who enjoys working with people, e.g. staff, people we support, volunteers and students. Your responsibilities will include serving light refreshments, handling money & card transactions and ensuring the cleanliness & hygiene checks of the café remain of a high standard.
Good IT skills are essential for updating stock checks/ rotation and ordering of new food, keeping accessible information/ documents and maintaining risk assessments, and daily and weekly checks.
There will be times when you will be expected to work with the Grace Eyre reception staff team to support the running of the reception. This will be through work with the Employment Project and covering any absences.
