The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity that has been working with people with learning disabilities since 1898, across Sussex and parts of London and head office based in Hove. Our mission is to be led by people with learning disabilities in delivery of high-quality housing, support, employment, and activities in their local communities.

Grace Eyre are looking to recruit a team of support workers to provide cover support to some of our already established support services in West Sussex Southern region (Bognor Regis, Chichester). We are looking to recruit various permanent contracted positions.

The team will work flexibly to cover support needs in the Outreach services. You will be supporting people with learning disabilities, Autism, and other complex needs. The role involves promoting individuals’ independence by enabling them to build on their strengths and achieve their goals, dreams and wishes. You will be supporting individuals in their own home and in the community with all aspects of daily living skills, including personal care, cooking, budgeting and being part of the community.

We welcome applicants with experience in similar roles although experience is not everything: if you are the right person, are caring, committed and enthusiastic, we will provide all the training and development you need to become an excellent support worker.

You will be part of a rota system with a variety of support sessions with our customers, ranging from one hour to eight hours per session. Some sessions will be in people’s own homes and some will involve taking them out to enjoy the local community and further afield. You will required to work at evenings and some weekend.

A car driver would be desirable though not essential
