The Grace Eyre Foundation is a charity that has been working with people with learning disabilities since 1898, across Sussex and parts of London and head office based in Hove. Our mission is to be led by people with learning disabilities in delivery of high-quality housing, support, employment, and activities in their local communities.
We are looking to recruit Active Lives support workers to support vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in accessing services from the Grace Eyre Active Lives programme and activities in the community. This will include aspects of personal care and travel escorting to & from activities, e.g. through private transport. We are keen to recruit staff from the Shoreham and Hove areas. You do not need to be able to drive to do this role.
Grace Eyre Support Workers work to support individuals with their choices / goals and person-centred activities across Grace Eyre services. We are keen to hire staff on various hour contracts. Usual staff travel expenses will be covered and full training provided at the start of the role, e.g. in epilepsy and Makaton. Basic IT and computer skills are required as part of this role.
