Grace Eyre’s Choices is recruiting persons wishing to support people with learning disabilities and or mental health issues. We support people with all aspects of their lives, such as daily living skills, medication, personal care and finances, accessing community activities.  We are passionate about promoting independence through skill development, community access and empowerment.

We are looking for positive and motivated individuals to join our team working in Crawley and Horsham.

You will be supporting individuals with learning difficulties with all aspects of their daily life including promoting independence, attending activities, outings and holidays. We would like to hear from both experienced support workers and those who would like to gain experience and training with an established charity in rewarding and ever changing sector.

Trustees (unpaid position)

Grace Eyre supports 400+ people with learning disabilities to achieve their dreams and wishes. We are a charity that currently works across Sussex and in the London Borough of Lambeth. We believe that as a charity we need to campaign with, work with and include people who use our services and their families and friends, especially in these challenging times.

Grace Eyre is working to an ambitious 2020 Vision which includes growth, increasing our influence to develop high quality, local and innovative services, diversifying our income from fundraising and trading, making our organisation as efficient as possible and to ensure we have a workforce that are skilled and committed.

To help steer this ambitious plan, new trustees are sought with experience and expertise in the following areas:

  • Social Care and Health (particularly learning disability services)
  • Housing Management (particularly social housing)
  • Legal
  • Human Resources
  • Finance (particularly charity finance)

 

Board meetings are held six times per year and in addition we ask trustees to sit on one of our four committees/subsidiaries; Finance & IT, Quality & Risk, Human Resources and Grace Eyre Housing. Out of pocket expenses are paid.

Grace Eyre’s Community Outreach and Supported Living Scheme is looking to recruit enthusiastic individuals who are motivated and inspired to provide high quality services for people with learning disabilities. The role supports individuals from their own homes and in the community in the Brighton and Hove area, with all aspects of daily living including support with personal care needs.  The role involves promoting the individual's independence by supporting them to build on their strengths and skills; enable them to access the community, and achieve their chosen goals, dreams and wishes  

Our Community Outreach and Supported Living serviced provide 24/7 support, so you need to be available to work at all times of the week, including sleep-ins and waking nights when required.  No closing date.

We are looking for enthusiastic and creative people to join our bank of relief staff to help support adults with learning disabilities at our Day Services centres in Hove.
