The Grace Eyre is a charity established in 1898. Since then, we have continued to support people with learning disabilities across Sussex and London.

Grace Eyre needs a friendly full time receptionist to help support our day service. They will work at the busy Montefiore Road service in Hove.

We would welcome all applications including from individuals with learning disabilities, autism or mental health needs to apply for the role.

You will need to have some experience of working with people, doing admin tasks like answering the phone and signing people in to the building, and be good at communicating with others.  You need to be good at working on your own and as part of a team. 

The person who gets the job will be given support and training to help them do the job well.

We are looking to recruit a 15 Hour per week (Flexible) Health and Safety Coordinator to support our managers and staff to continue to deliver a safe and high quality service that is compliant with current legislation and regulatory requirements.

Grace Eyre is a charity committed to supporting people with learning disabilities and mental health needs to live independently within their local community.

Key focus of the role :

  • Offering advice and guidance to teams around all aspects of H&
  • Maintain central records and write reports
  • Support induction and H&S focussed training for teams
  • Carry out planned reviews and audits of our buildings

 

Our head office is based in Hove but the successful candidate will need to be able to travel to our services in Sussex and London. Trustees (unpaid position)

Grace Eyre supports 375 people with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs to achieve their dreams and wishes. We are a Sussex based charity that is very keen to develop towards a user led organisation. We believe that as a charity we need to campaign with, work with and include people who use our services, especially in these challenging times.

Grace Eyre is working to an ambitious three year plan which includes growth, increasing our income from fundraising and trading, making our organisation as efficient as possible and to ensure we have a workforce that are skilled and committed.

To help steer this ambitious plan, new trustees are sought with experience and expertise in the following areas:

  • Social Care and Health (particularly learning disability or mental health services)
  • Housing Management (particularly social housing)

Board meetings are held 6 times per year and in addition we ask trustees to sit on one/two of our five committees/subsidiaries;

Finance & IT, Quality & Risk, Human Resources, Grace Eyre Housing and Purple Playhouse Theatre.
