Do you want to help make a difference to people’s lives?

We are seeking a Team Leader to work with a range of individuals receiving support from our CHOICES Community and Home support. We need someone who has a high regard for individuals who have learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues who are able to incorporate values of integrity, individuality and rights into your work.

You will need prior experience of skills such as organising rotas, support your colleagues and leading a team to the highest standard of support.

We are looking for a Handy Person one day per week to carry out a range of planed and as and when maintenance across both our provider buildings and Grace Eyre Housing flats and premises.

We are flexible on the day you wish to work.

The work will be across a range of skills in basic DIY, gardening and decorating.

Grace Eyre are a vibrant and busy charity and we are looking for a person to join our team to ensure we can provide services in well maintained, safe and attractive environments.

If you have experience of basic maintenance and would enjoy the opportunity of working for one of Brighton and Hove’s longest established charities we would love to hear from you.

The job will be based in Brighton and Hove but you may be required to travel to other properties across Sussex.

Would you like to work with people with learning disabilities in their own homes in West Sussex? Do you want to make a difference in peoples’ lives? If you are motivated, enthusiastic and wish to provide a high quality service for people with learning disabilities and Autism we would love to hear from you. We are looking for support workers to work in customers’ own homes across the Coastal West Sussex region (including Worthing, Littlehampton and Lancing). 

The role involves promoting individuals’ independence by enabling them to build on their strengths and achieve their goals, dreams and wishes. You will be supporting individuals in their own home and in the community with all aspects of daily living skills, including personal care, cooking, budgeting and being part of the community.

You will be part of a rota system with a variety of support sessions with our customers, ranging from one hour to eight hours per session. Some sessions will be in people’s own homes and some will involve taking them out to enjoy activities in the local community and further afield.

A car driver would be desirable though not essential.

Trustees (unpaid position)

Grace Eyre supports 375 people with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs to achieve their dreams and wishes. We are a Sussex based charity that is very keen to develop towards a user led organisation. We believe that as a charity we need to campaign with, work with and include people who use our services, especially in these challenging times.

Grace Eyre is working to an ambitious three year plan which includes growth, increasing our income from fundraising and trading, making our organisation as efficient as possible and to ensure we have a workforce that are skilled and committed.

To help steer this ambitious plan, new trustees are sought with experience and expertise in the following areas:

  • Social Care and Health (particularly learning disability or mental health services)
  • Housing Management (particularly social housing)

Board meetings are held 6 times per year and in addition we ask trustees to sit on one/two of our five committees/subsidiaries;

Finance & IT, Quality & Risk, Human Resources, Grace Eyre Housing and Purple Playhouse Theatre.
