Our Travel Buddy scheme helps people stay safe when they're out and about, on public transport or on foot.

Grace Eyre have a large scheme based in Brighton &Hove and we're also helping to pilot something similar in West Sussex.

The Travel Buddy scheme provides modular training to develop the range of skills necessary for someone to travel safely, thus increasing their choices and fostering their independence. The modules are in 12-week sections to allow people to join at the right stage of the course for them. During and after training, the individual is supported by a volunteer travel buddy who helps them try out the skills they've learned in a safe manner.
