We offer a range of inclusive day activities to over 100 people with learning disabilities in Brighton & Hove.
At Grace Eyre, individuals are able to build a programme of sessions based on their own interests and aspirations. Called Active Lives, the scheme aims to promote independence and learning through these activities as well as giving people the ability to develop new networks and friendships.
Our activities
We aim to enhance the aspirations of individual service users through our service-led forums, social events, projects and activities. These include:
Encouraging expression and creativity through our textiles, mosaics, puppets, pottery, printing and photography courses. We have strong links to Brighton's Open House artist project.
Independent living and progression to employment skills are promoted with our customer service, using computers, money skills and literacy activities.
We offer bowling, football, swimming and badminton to develop individuals' health and fitness. Service users can also compete in events with the Brighton & Hove Special Olympics team.
To aid skills development and enhance relaxation, we offer singing, knitting, local interest activities and community outings.
Courses in yoga, gardening, dance and movement are offered, as are health walks, to promote a greater awareness of health and wellbeing.
