Brighton Marathon 2011

The Brighton Marathon 2011 takes place on Sunday 10th April.

Last year congratulations were in order for the 4 runners who successfully completed the Brighton Marathon on behalf of Grace Eyre. All their hard work and training paid off as they crossed the finish line. And they managed to raise a significant amount of money in sponsorship for the Grace Eyre SHARE project.

Marathon

Eva Jarvis, the Director of Grace Eyre said, "This is a fantastic result. All the runners should be proud of themselves. The funds raised from this event are an important source of support for this vital project.”

Tania Deaville, running a marathon for the first time, said of her endeavour, "Running the Brighton Marathon was a big challenge for me as I haven't done any running for a long time and I didn't have much time to prepare.  However, when I learnt that a last-minute place had come up to run for Grace Eyre I felt really inspired as I was already working for the charity and was excited by the prospect of taking on such a challenge to raise money for the service users".

General entries are now full but Grace Eyre have 10 places to fill so if you, your friends, family or colleagues feel inspired to dust down those trainers and start running to raise money for a good cause, then please contact msimms@grace-eyre.org for further details. To secure a place, we are asking for a fundraising target of £500 per person.
